Feal the Fear and Do It Anyway!

2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV) For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Ive realized lately that so many of my choices in life have been made because I was afraid. Fear is a powerful spiritual force but fear can be overcome by an even stronger spiritual force called FAITH! The Bible says God did not give us a spirit of fear, that fear comes from the devil.

God in his wisdom did give us a fear instinct, which he uses to protect us. It's like a warning sign that something isn't right, our job is to discern carefully the difference between a spirit of fear, a binding fear and the fear that is programmed in us to keep us safe, our fight or flight response really.

For so many years I've confused these two types of fear. What I've learned is this, if you face your fears instead of running from them, they will actually reveal a lot about what is really going on and will show you the necessary step to activate your FAITH!

So today, if your feeling afraid about something that's okay, just know that you don't have to let it control how you live your life. Just allow yourself to feel the fear, discern what's really going on. Ask yourself is this the kind of fear that wants to bind?

One way you can tell is if it makes you want to do something that is contrary to who you really are and want to be, it's probably the enemy scaring you. If it makes you want to run and hide or ignore or deny your issues, then it's probably a binding spirit of fear.

Today, let's stand on the promises of God and tell that spirit of fear to back off! Allow your FAITH to be activated and let it guide you. We are all afraid to take that first step of FAITH off the cliff blindfolded, it's in our human nature, just do it anyway and I promise what ever stands in the way of what God has for, will back away! Be blessed today
